Waitlist open for the next Fishing as a Family cohort

A tradition passed down through generations starts with one cast.

Two people in the shallows, one casting a talåya net that opens in the air

Join the waitlist for our next Fishing as a Family cohort and learn the tradition of talåya fishing while creating meaningful memories and connections with our community.

About the program

  • A family-oriented talåya casting campaign that preserves and revitalizes talåya casting through hands-on learning and sustainability education.
  • A series of six family-oriented clinics.
  • Participation is limited to 12 families, and families completing the curriculum receive a talåya.
  • The definition of family is flexible: at least one adult and one child or youth, and up to four participants per family.
